While in college, I decided to go into full Jerk mode for a month. WOW did I get results. I was and am one of the nice guys and wanted to see what would happen. I had women throwing themselves at me. At the end of the month, I shut down the jerk persona and they all left. Interesting experiment.

I got married to a woman who was looking for a “nice guy” and we have been married 30 years.

In high school I would get dumped for a bad boy or get friend zoned. Joined the military and decided to be an ahole with the woman. I was swimming in them. Also met my wife that way, but dropped the ahole routine after I was sure she was in love with me.

This is a well-kept secret among women. I found it out at a job where I was one of the only guys (and much older than the female co-workers), so they considered me a piece of furniture and didn't realize I could hear them.

There's a difference between "Mr. Right" and "Mr. Right NOW!!"
