It’s slim pickin’s in the Little Rock area, I’m afraid. There are engineers. And they are by far way... wayyy... over the head of the locals. When I lived there, the locals thought that engineers drove Amtrak trains. They couldn’t understand why you would want to hire one. LOL.

I just left this morning from seeing my girlfriend who lives in central Arkansas. Had to run down to Helena to a client site on the way back to my office in Memphis. I work for an Environmental Consulting Firm.

Actually, it was driven by a call today. I am a Head Hunter. I interviewed a QA Manager for a spot and he said he would move anywhere but the deep South or South East, then when pressed, he listed off a number of “rather-nots”. Essential, he was saying not anything “deep red” (as in red states or areas). Viola, an idea was born.
