Just 30 minutes of exercise every morning may be as effective as drugs at lowering blood pressure for the rest of the day, research suggests.
A study found that a short burst of exercise in this case, walking on a treadmill at moderate intensity had long-lasting effects, and there were further benefits from extra three-minute walks later in the day.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) welcomed the study, saying 30 minutes of exercise every morning was also good for mental health.
55-80 Age of participants
Experts examined data for overweight and obese men and women aged 55 to 80 at the start of the study.
The 35 women and 32 men took part in three different daily plans, in random order, with at least six days between each one.
The first plan consisted of uninterrupted sitting for eight hours, while the second consisted of one hour of sitting before 30 minutes of walking on a treadmill at moderate intensity, followed by 6.5 hours of sitting down.

Just don’t try it with snatches. LOL
Sex works.
Coq10 in all its forms, serrapeptase, and class iv cold laser therapy of the heart muscle and aorta surgery areas.
I’m going the other direction with it.
I have a theory that a body has only so many moves in it before the warranty is up and it quits.
So, I’m staying as still as possible and letting the drugs control the variables like blood pressure and whatnot.
I should live forever.
Don’t exercise..but stay active.
Oh, and eat and drink whatever you want ..just dont have more than a serving.
“Just dont try it with snatches.”
It’s impossible.
But it can be done with squats, dead lifts, military press and just about everything else.
Negatives are absolutely punishing. And this old man does them anyway. And I do HIIT on the stationary bike too. That’ll make you puke if you’re not careful.
My daughter had taken it for a couple of years and suddenly developed an allergy to it. Her top lip swelled up like “The Creature from the Black Lagoon”. Not kiddin. It stayed that way for a couple of days, but the dr immediately put her on a different med.
I’ve also been on it for several years...so far, so good for me.
I have a exercise bike. It is a great place top hang clothes on : )
Let me testify...
I met with my buddies at the Tea Party for breakfast to confront the fat fascists at SEIU.
These jellyfish boys in the federal bureaucracy are much faster than we thought and it took us two minutes to corner these rolling blobs of slobs. They started bawling and screaming for the cops to come rescue them, which reduced our blood pressure to a perfect 120/80.
Yep - I’m 66 and except for several short interludes have never stopped exercising. Keep a treadmill and other exercise equipment in the spare bedroom “gym” and usually do my exercises after being up for about 2-3 hours. Treadmill usually goes for 45-60 minutes at 75%-85%...gotta keep fighting off that old age...wife is 69 and walks about 50 minutes 5-6 days a week and is vibrantly energetic.
