Montana should be sold to Canada to help pay off some of the U.S.'s national debt, according to a petition on Change.org.
Ian Hammond, the petition creator, wants to sell The Treasure State to the nation's neighbor to the north for $1 trillion.
“We have too much debt and Montana is useless. Just tell them it has beavers or something,” the petition description read.
More than 7,000 people have already signed the petition as of Tuesday. The petition was looking to garner at least 7,500 online signatures.

I'd trade them Alberta for either the entire West Coast or CA and NY.
The provinces west of Ontario have more in common with the people in the states to their south than they do with eastern Canada. And all except possibly BC, resent the eastern government that tells them what they can do with their resources. What they all generally have in common, though, is hating the US. LOL
I can’t dispute the cold. Calgary in February was the coldest I have ever been in my life. Great people, though.

Montana might serve as a refuge to Canadians now living in the two-thirds of their nation destined to return to the Laurentide Sheet glacial conditions. That’s if they prefer the cold/dry condition.
The U.S. Southwest will revert to the normal wet pattern of the dominate glacial-period, and once again become a nice area with a moderate climate. Lake Manly will eventually refill to it’s prior 600 foot depth.
As if Canada has a trillion dollars. Aren’t they looking to sell us Saskatchewan to help with their debt? Leftists (see tagline)

I say we start manifest destiny, north/south version. Once we take it all, we lock it down. The resources alone will surpass 1T awfully soon.
