But is there any way the treatment could possibly be proven in a year, even if their approach does work?
"I doubt it, based on what they disclosed to the public. Apparently, the work has only been done in mice. Anything tested in mice has to undergo testing in other animal species, be formulated, and then approved to administration in Phase I clinical trials in humans," said Dr Benjamin G. Neel, M.D., Ph.D. Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine and Director of the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center.
The Israeli company also claims that their therapy will work for all types of cancer. To those involved in cancer research, this is a huge red flag. There are broadly over 200 different types of cancer and within those, multiple other subtypes. For there to be one, universal "cancer cure," that overcomes all of these differences is highly unlikely.
If it ever comes to fruition, it is unlikely to come from a company whose website offers merely two crudely made graphs to prove this and whose chief scientist appears to have largely published in the botanical sciences, the last paper being 17 years ago. A search of the chief scientist on PubMed, which indexes all papers involving medical research returns no results.
"One should never say never in science, but I think it is quite unlikely that we will see a single magic bullet for cancer. We don't have single magic bullets for infectious disease--different infections require different antibiotics, and even then, antibiotic resistance develops. Cancer is not a single disease--its multiple diseases, each caused by different combinations of genetic changes within different types of target cells. We already know how to cure many forms of cancer, and notably, all of these cures are different," said Neel.
ITYS
while questionable, the announcement still could be accurate......
while there are 200+ kinds of cancer, they all share certain characteristics that could lead to a general cure someday
and
it would, imho, most likely be a small foreign company (in a very, very high-tech, advanced research setting like Israel and Weizmann Institute of Science) that will find and be able to announce any seriously helpful new medicine or treatment...
(there being just SO much money-making going on by “traditional” meds/treatments/doctors/hospitals.....anything even remotely like a real ‘cure’ from within USA would rock too many boats, could arguably be suppressed before it could see the light of day??? One doesn’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to see this possibility....))
A cure for cancer, if there is one, will never see the light of day. Too much money to be made for that to ever happen.
Is Jussie the CEO of this venture?
Cures for cancer, diabetes, and arthritis has been the bread and butter of the checkout stand tabloids for the last fifty years.
The FDA process is horribly cumbersome and DJT is trying to allow for easier compassionate use of trial meds. The Forbes article is very dismissive of the wrong problem in bringing new agents to market. Praying for a cure!
I read a thread on this subject a couple weeks ago, and couldn’t believe it didn’t get any coverage in the media. I mean, it COULD be true. Look at DNA. One day nobody knew it existed, and the next day ... there it was. Breakthroughs happen.
Then I figured the story got no coverage because (1) the media got the heads-up from big pharma lobbyists to keep it on the down-low. (2) The libs/media are anti-Semitic, and don’t want to attribute anything positive to Israel, even if it’ll save millions of lives. This cure absolutely could be true, but there’s no way it’ll be available in the U.S.; big pharma won’t let it.
The upside for Israel is ... a boom in tourism that has never been seen before.
Author confuses over all number of mutations with simultaneous mutations. The Israeli crew says cancer cant mutate to fix three mutations at the same time
Their approach would require a specialized drug for each patient. It would require specialized clinics, labs and technicians. It would be welcomed by the oncologists and plenty of money would be made by all.
There is no shortage of cancer and no reason why docs wouldn’t be interested in a new tool.
Curing cancer would be a disaster for the AMA and Pharma. It’s also against the law in many States.
Big Pharma, Big Insurance, Big Medicine and ObamaCare do not want their biggest money maker to be cured.
Turn cancer cells to fat cells?
