Jussie Smollett's "Empire" screen time is getting slashed in the wake of a growing sentiment that he staged the so-called "attack."
Production sources tell TMZ ... Jussie was supposed to have 9 scenes and a big musical number in the second to the last episode -- which is being shot now -- but, 5 of his scenes have been cut, and his musical number has been 86'd.
As for the remaining 4 scenes ... we're told he's no longer the focus. The scene features an ensemble, meaning he's flanked by a number of cast members.
With his duties pared down, Jussie will be spending way less time on set. Instead of working every day this week, we're told Jussie's working Friday and possibly Thursday, and he won't be rehearsing.

I remember her. My daughter was a student at Harvey Mudd College when that happened. The supposed “cross burning” that set that whole thing in motion was an art project by a student. The cross was one small component of the project. The students who set the project on fire were a couple international students, Chinese kids, who were completely wasted and had no clue of the cultural implications of cross burning. They were just very intoxicated and making mischief. My daughter was really irritated at what it blew up into.

I think that Smollett's agent was involved in this as a purportedly corroborating "ear-witness". Supposedly, he was on the phone with Smollett when this attack was allegedly occurring, and he backed up Smollett's statement by telling authorities that he heard the "MAGA" remark and other sounds during the "assault".
Make no mistake about it: Smollett's agent was involved in it ...
The hate crime statutes don't provide for that. Until they do, there is no hate crime.
He should be fired and charged with a hate crime against Trump supporters.
