Hi dis, u haven’t read into the river before but how could an infant be given HIV and then have it show up 20 years later. I doubt the infant would make it to 8 in Africa mid century with HIV. Just a big question I had from your summary.
Do some research on HIV. It can take years for HIV to convert to AIDS.

I find the true story of AIDS extremely fascinating. It was a medical accident that will end up killing at least 100 million people; and yet, will eventually serve as the basis of genetic medicine via the HIV-1 envelope, or “vector” genetically engineered with different “payload.” (Another story)
