Chicago’s crime problem is made worse when murders like the wave that gripped Chicago last weekend go unsolved.
CBS 2’s Derrick Blakley reports that while other big U.S. cities have shown improvement in arrests, Chicago lags behind.
Two years ago, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson announced plans to hire 200 new detectives to help solve the city’s soaring number of murders. ---SNIP---
Back in 2000, the city solved 40 percent of murders that occurred that year. In 2009, 30 percent of murders were solved.
Last year, 17 percent were solved, Blakley reports.

Why would anyone talk when prosecutors refuse to prosecute?!
The politicians get kickbacks from the gangs, so....the protection racket works.
My new Congresswoman basically ran on a more gun control single issue platform. Sigh.
Police morale is subterranean...they pretty much no longer give a shit due to abysmal leadership, filthy democrat politicians, and a criminal justice system that is criminal itself.
Thats right. And then the same people that won’t cooperate with authorities turn around and demand the police do more stop crime.

It used to be organized crime who had the politicians, police and judges in their pocket but now it’s the gangs.

Maybe their murder solve rate would increase if they didn’t have to waste resources on hate crime hoaxes.
How much time and man-hours have been devoted to investigating the Smellitt case, which at best was a simple assault? I’m sure that it took a lot of investigators who could have better spent their time investigating real crimes.
At some level, it becomes reasonable for families and neighborhoods to seek their own retribution rather than rely on the rule of law.
The recent ware house shooting is a perfect example of the corruption in Chicago (similar to corruption leading to the Parkland, FL shooting).
The Chicago chief of police was on TV explaining the criminal history of the shooter and the fact that he was able to get gun permits was an error in the background check. Bull! He paid some corrupt official to get the permit.
Because its MAGA Country?
Well when you take those detectives and assign them to investigating non-existent “hate crimes”.....
Yeah…no. You don’t rat out the rough crowd if you have to live there with them. Send in the ‘cavalry’ and take them out. This would done by warfare not nice polite judge and jury BS.
They didn’t arrest and convict the “Lions of Tsavo”(do a search) They went in and killed them. It’s what you do with dangerous animals.
Or wind up face down in ditches.
Communities, are black communities. They handle their own. Police don’t kill people who need to be killed. But the rival gang does.
