Actually that’s inaccurate. There are many women that take birth control pills for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with birth control. For example if a woman is having problems with the timing of her ‘time of the month,’ she make take them to regulate her period and get it and her ovulation back on track. Just one example.

Just one example.It's usually more than the timing of her cycle.
Often it's the debilitating cramps and uncontrolled bleeding that motivate a woman to go on the pill.

I was on them for cramps. In my 70 years that’s the most excruciating pain I’ve ever had — and I’ve been through a lot. The pills were a blessing.
