I know about what happened and why it happened.
No, I haven’t seen that movie and wouldn’t care to.
Isn’t Das Boot a German movie? It’s one of the best WW II movies, IMO.
With Roger Debris directing, of course!
Yep.
But certainly the top Nazi officials had the means to evacuate their children to the West, where at least the Western Allies would have taken them.
Yes Das Boot is good, also the German production of “Stalingrad.”
I’ve heard that it is very good.
The Russians were surprisingly well mannered given what the Germans did beforehand in Russia.
Both the Russians and Germans were horrible. Hitler and Stalin were both extremely evil. Stalin just killed more people.
The internet is over! LOL!!
My favorite!
“The Last of the Mohicans is an excellent movie. I watched it for the third or fourth time a month or so ago. It hasnt aged a bit.”
My wife and I will watch it often and agree with you.

:)
It was like a whos-who of German actors in that movie.
I recognized the interrogator from Sophie Scholl - The Last Days, who was tremendous in that role. The guy who blew up his family at the dinner table, was in that movie as well.
Then I spotted the main bad guy from The Lives of Others.
And of course, Thomas Kretschmann, seems to be in every movie about Germans.

Thomas Kretschmann was also in “The Pianist” as a “good” German officer.
Juliane Kohler was Eva Braun in “Downfall”...She was also in “Nowhere in Africa” and “Aimee and Jaguar”...
So many of my favorite movies are German...
Downfall
The Lives of Others
Sophie Scholl - The Final Days
Goodbye, Lenin!

Some other German movies you might have heard of...
THE LEGEND OF RITA (2000)
Aimee and Jaguar (1999)
NOWHERE IN AFRICA (2001)
I watched DOWNFALL in a movie theater in Santa Monica when it was released in US...DOWNFALL was one of Michael Medved’s Top 10 movies of that year...
Best Hitler Ever!
Although Gary Oldman played an excellent young Hitler in the movie entitled Max.

MAX was one of Michael Medved’s Top Ten Movies many years ago...
It was an amazing movie. Pure fanrasy, I’m sure, but riveting.
