Usually the name of the person who the quote comes from is at the end. Or is this a folk saying and no one knows where it came from?

Ah, it is MY quote. It will be a little more difficult. Key small words should get you going, especially with that cryptogram helper thingy.

It was pretty easy onest I got the hyphen.
To: A_perfect_lady
XJL occurs twice in the cryptogram. Since “The” is the most common 3 letter word in the English language,
My first deciphering is:
X IS T
J IS H
L IS E
We can then replace every occurence of those letters in the cypher and continue working from there...
