Forgive if this has already been answered; IF POTUS (or a governor in most states) does not wish to appear to endorse a law but does not wish to veto it, they can simply leave the legislation on their desk. I think it is 30 days and then the bill automatically becomes law.

From what I’ve seen posted about pocket vetos, a pocket veto is when a President doesn’t sign a bill into law during the 10 day period, prior to the adjournment of Congress.
If a bill is not signed into law during a Congressional session, the bill becomes law after 10 days.
I don’t believe Congress is adjourning anytime soon, so a pocket veto is not relevant.
