Man kidnaps woman, daughter before leading police on more than 100 mile pursuit

Two people are dead and another is critically wounded, after a kidnapping in Jefferson City, MO and pursuit that ran through St. Louis, MO and ended in Bond County, IL, police said.

The girlfriend was shot but is still alive, in critical condition.

The 10 year old daughter was not harmed.

So, who was the other dead person?

“A 67-year-old man - Gregory Price - a Florissant, Mo., resident, was shot and killed by Austin when he attempted a carjacking on Route 140.”

I assume they meant Austin was trying to carjack and not Price...

Third paragraph in. Near the bottom. "Austin then shot and killed Gregory Price, 67, of Florissant, MO, during an attempted carjacking"

This was near the end of the chase.
