Here we catch king salmon and if the hen is releasing her eggs, we just hold her over our open mouths and get as much as we can.

You don't save the spawn for bait?? OMgosh, one of our freezers in the garage was usually filled with bags of spawn to be used as bait. My husband was the Great White Hunter and Fisher, so that freezer was filled with totally gross dead animal stuff to be used as bait for fish, coons, beavers, mink..I just called his freezer the "Offal freezer".
