Next time try this. It is to die for.
1 cup water, 1 (7oz.) package dry Italian style salad dressing mix, 1 (1oz) package dry ranch packet. 1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix.
Mix all together and pour over your roast, carrots, small yellow or red potatoes, onions.
Ok...need to expand my thinking ;)
Thanks
That sounds good. I sometimes add a small can of diced tomatoes or V8 juice (We like broth with tomatoe base). Also usually tuck a Bay leaf or two along the side.
Oh, man (what my little granddaughter said to me, today, when I couldn’t get remote to work!)....that pot roast sounds wonderful, weston.
Spunky....your version sounds amazing, as well.
I have a somewhat simplified version...I put the pot roast, quartered potatoes, baby carrots in along with a package of Lipton’s onion soup mix and about 2 Cups water.
The whole house smells amazing. I sometimes bake a pan of Sister Shuberts rolls to go with. Yummmmm.
Thanks for letting us know how the meal turned out, weston. Glad it was enjoyed, by all.
