Universal global warming.
We will never know as much as we don’t know.
Pass it on.
Hey, the least you can do is thank him for Pinging you. #;^)
Holy crap! Your dial goes all the way up to 11? Where did you find that? Guitar Center told me they wouldnt special order one for me.
And then, maybe, the entire evolutionary assumption is wrong.
The Mayan/Aztec/Bronx Princess, Native Donkey, AOC, says the world will end in 12 years. Who cares about the expanding cosmos? Party like it’s 2031!
Dark Matter changing the velocity of the universe: sometimes it sucks, sometimes it blows.
Kind of like Kamala Harris.
Cows have Toenails???
Agree, we know so little.
But scientists need to open up about their actual risk of knowing the truth.
For instance, 4 months out, climate scientists cannot tell you reliably how many actual hurricanes will occur in the North American hurricane season.
In terms of astronomy, a 10th planet was discovered a decade ago. Why wasn’t it discovered before if astronomers are so smart? It takes the Sun’s light 6 hours to reach Pluto.
Meanwhile, astronomers speak nonchalantly about events happening hundreds of light years away. Betelgeuse is said to be 642 light years away.
Scientists will not tell us the truth about their science — because if they told the truth, they would no longer get funding.
What royal arrogance to say that “Something isn’t quite right in the universe” or “That shouldn’t be the case”.
Sorry, Mara, but the Universe is just fine the way that it is, even if you are not capable of understanding how it works.
Your expectations do not determine the nature of the Universe. Your theories need to be changed to better describe the Universe, since they currently don’t.
FYI, there is only one Universe, and it did not spring into existence from nothing, and it doesn’t pop in and out of existence, although your brain does.
Our dependence on carbon has impact far greater than imagined.
Thanks ETL.
That was great! Sent it to my agnostic son. So sad Jastrow KNEW there was a Creator, but would not acknowledge Him, and then died in 2008. So, so tragic.

Sad, but that’s what makes it more powerful - he’s not a believer yet the evidence points, to him, at creation (or at least design).
He’s written a book titled “God and the Astronomers”. It looks like it’s kinda expensive on Amazon, but you might be able to find an earlier version of it at a lesser price.
Might be a good book for the son.
“Scientists will not tell us the truth about their science because if they told the truth, they would no longer get funding.”
It should be the opposite. Science without honesty is not science.
We better spend Trillions to see what we can do about it, after all it must be Trump’s fault. It can’t be normal, so I guess dingbat Alexandria Ohima-Kook will blame it on Conservatives or President Trump or Republicans.
