I hope you are feeling better.

I’m not. I am sick over the worst broadcasting crew in all of professional sports. I don’t think I can survive the second half of the season with the fingernails on the chalkboard driver announcers (Dale Jarrett excepted).

So we are now rid of the DW nonsense, and it is replaced by the Djr and JB nonsense. I would turn off the sound and listen to the very professional MRN crew, but I always watch on DVR. So I actually have to listen to the caterwauling. Good grief.

LOUDON, N.H. — Kaulig Racing announced Sunday morning that veteran crew chief Nick Harrison died. He was 37.

Harrison was the crew chief for Justin Haley‘s No. 11 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series and had called the car’s 13th-place finish Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In a statement attributed to team owner Matt Kaulig and president Chris Rice, the team said in a tweet that “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nick Harrison, our beloved crew chief of the No. 11 car at Kaulig Racing. Please keep Nick’s family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.”

No cause of death or information on services was immediately available. A Kaulig Racing spokesperson said “further details would be provided as they come.”

NASCAR released a statement on Harrison’s death: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of longtime crew chief Nick Harrison, and offer our thoughts, prayers and support to his family, friends and Kaulig Racing colleagues.”

According to Racing-Reference.info, Harrison made his debut as an Xfinity crew chief in 2006. He was a crew chief for 184 Xfinity races (including 17 with Haley this year) and had five victories, his first with Kurt Busch in 2012 at Daytona International Speedway with James Finch’s Phoenix Racing.

He also worked 120 races as a crew chief in the Cup Series, including full seasons in 2011-12 with Phoenix Racing’s No. 51 Chevrolet. He guided Busch to a third place June 24, 2012 at Sonoma Raceway, marking Harrison’s best finish as a Cup crew chief.

Well NUTSCAR strikes again with their “Substance Abuse Rule” this time it’s a Crew Cheif and wait till You see what “Drug”.

Germain Racing: Crew chief Matt Borland suspended for violating Substance Abuse Policy

Matt Borland, crew chief of the No. 13 entry driven by Ty Dillon in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, has been indefinitely suspended for a violation of the sanctioning body’s Substance Abuse Policy, according to Germain Racing.

The organization made the announcement Monday, and NASCAR officials confirmed the suspension later in the morning. Borland said in a statement released by the team that he was notified last weekend of a positive test for the banned substance DMAA (2-amino-5-methylhexanamine). He and team owner Bob Germain Jr. said a derivative of the substance was an ingredient in a diet coffee that he had been using regularly for the last six months.

“I gave the doctor all of the details of the coffee and ingredients, and after he researched it, he said he thought that this was the cause,” Borland said in a statement provided by the organization. “Even after doing my due diligence, I felt comfortable in drinking the coffee. I plan to work with NASCAR to figure out what exactly has happened and resolve this issue as quickly as we can. I will cooperate with them and do whatever is requested of me to make this situation right.

“I have worked in the NASCAR garage for 20 years now and have never been a part of anything like this in my life. I take full responsibility for this incident and want to get it taken care of completely.”

Borland will need to complete the NASCAR Road to Recovery program to be reinstated. Justin Alexander, who was crew chief for Austin Dillon’s Daytona 500 win last season, will step in as interim crew chief for Ty Dillon.

Borland is in his second season with the Germain team. He has 13 victories at the Monster Energy Series level — all paired with driver Ryan Newman.

Germain said he supported his crew chief in his efforts to return to the sport.

“Based upon the ingredients label we do not believe that Matt had reason to know that the coffee contained a banned substance,” Germain said. “However, we also understand and respect NASCAR’s decisions to strictly uphold their policies for each and every owner, driver and crew member in the garage. As an organization, we stand behind Matt. He has been and remains an integral part of our race team and we look forward to his return to the garage and pit box.”

Meanwhile back in The Hamptons- brainless france is pulled over for a STOP Sign violation and gets Busted for DWI and Possession of Oxycodone!!!

On August 5, 2018, France was pulled over by the Sag Harbor, New York police after driving through a stop sign in the Hamptons,[19] and subsequently arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance, later revealed to be Oxycodone.[20] After his release, he announced that he would be taking an "indefinite leave of absence" from his role as CEO and chairman of NASCAR. It was later deemed permanent in 2019, with Jim France going on to take over the job permanently as chairman of NASCAR.[21]

On June 7, 2019, France made a guilty plea to one count of misdemeanor DUI and, in exchange, got 100 hours of community service and the order to complete an alcohol education course before June 5, 2020. If he completes the terms of his plea deal, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office will allow France to withdraw his guilty plea to a reduced charge of a traffic violation.
