Fluffy is obviously a Maine Coon or a large part of her ancestry is Maine Coon. That could have been the critical factor in her survival. That, and a lot of luck. I am glad she will be an indoor only cat now, because out there in Montana, she could easily become a coyote or mountain lion snack outdoors. I am so glad that she made it. She is a beautiful kitty!

Microwave? On low of course. My gosh, any microwaving would cook the poor cat's organs. A very horrible gruesome way to die. Microwaves heat by causing the molecules of matter to sort of rub together, just like rubbing your hands together produces heat. Wouldn't matter if it's set on low, high, or whatever. The cat's organs would cook like any other protein.

Yeah, that’s awful. Treat it like a frozen turkey: thaw in cold water in the sink for a day, then 3 to 4 hours at 350 degrees. Basting optional, but recommended.

Aren't all cats? Including the live, warm ones? I don't know what kind of cats you have been exposed to, but mine are velcro cats. As I type this, my little rescue kitty Zizu is fast asleep laying across the top of my computer keyboard. She and my Maine Coon Bijou have been taking turns doing this for days. The "loser", who doesn't get to lay atop the keyboard and drive me crazy, then consoles herself by laying on the little table adjacent to my desk. If I want to watch a video, that means Bijou laying on my lap during the movie and Zizu either trying to cause trouble by biting Bijou's toes in an effort to get her to play with her, or watching the screen as well. Every single thing I do must be "supervised" by my cats.

I’m just wondering how ‘frozen’ the cat actually was. Clearly its fur was matted with snow, but what was its body temperature (what’s normal for a cat?)? AFAIK, reviving actual frozen flesh is still beyond our abilities, for humans or cats.
Glad to hear Fluffy made out OK, anyway!

The look on the cat’s face is like “OK, I’m fine now. Stop touching me and leave me alone - unless I need you for something”

Getting close to lunch time. Hopefully other FReepers realize we're kidding. Well, I am anyway. 👹😳
