Jdg 14:5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
Jdg 14:6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

That’s interesting ... the town of Timnath, CO is only about 10 miles away from the West Ridge Trail where this happened.
I guess this guy just gave new life to the tale of Samson and the young lion of Timnath.
Unrelated, Colorado’s Timnath was also a location that was “bombed” by the Japanese in World War 2 - The Japanese had launched thousands of hydrogen balloons into the Pacific jet stream. The payload would ignite the hydrogen upon landing, with the intention of causing fear and alarm. Some of them made it to the US mainland and a few were actually witnessed, like the one in Timnath.
