Here in FL, there’s a 3 in 5 chance that a Good Sam would unknowingly be risking his or her life to save an illegal alien’s or anchor baby’s ass. The question here should be why and who made the dog that angry? Did the kid take his food away? Did the mom beat the dog? Had it had problems before?

My brother is a cop on Perkasie's force and was there. He
said that the dog looked like a black lab, not a Pit.

The dog was crated by the father when they arrived, so
the threat was over and that is why the dog was not shot.
The child died on the way to the hospital, but was revived
and flown to CHOP...last word was that she was stable,
thank the Lord.

I have two black labs and from the front they could be confused for a black pit due to their short, robust jaw and wide jowl. But it ends there.

If it is a black lab I’d suspect rabies.
