The Jewish Messiah already came, and His own people largely failed to recognize Him.
All believers in Christ now constitute the Biblical Israel.
We appreciate the political nation of “Israel” because we consider them an ally; however that relationship is full problems, and I think they spy on us and betray us all the time. I have no doubt that they are a major impediment in the US dealing with Arabs on our own terms.
Not that you can blame them, really. At least I don't. I don't blame them for being out for themselves first and foremost in mossad ops. I bet we were too in our ops. during that time.
"Shortly before the official publication of the book, the Israeli government filed lawsuits in both Canada and the United States, seeking injunctions against publication. A judge for the Manhattan Supreme Court granted the request at a 1 a.m. hearing in his home.[7] The New York Supreme Court overturned his decision, but the resulting publicity focused national attention on Ostrovskys story and guaranteed international success."
I could hardly put these books down...hope you find them to be as interesting as I did. We're in there. And you will remember the events.
Concerning whether the Jews are still God’s chosen people, the math is simple:
The Middle East consists of 22 Arab Muslim states and the state of Israel. Most Arab states & peoples are fanatically anti-Jewish, for their Koran repeatedly tells them so.
350,000,000 Arab Muslims hate the 7,000,000 Jews of Israel and want them dead. Yet the state of Israel has survived and prospered for seventy years through five wars intended to destroy Israel and massacre the Jews.
Is Israel’s survival due to Jewish cleverness and Arab incompetence, or to the power of God?
I hold that it is the latter.
Nope, you are spouting Replacement theology.
“All believers in Christ now constitute the Biblical Israel.”
This heresy has been rejected by almost all Christian denominations, including, I believe even the Lutherans, who were keenly antisemitic from the start. The Bible is very clear that Christians are “grafted in” to the promise to Abraham. Nothing says we supplant them.
“We appreciate the political nation of Israel because we consider them an ally; however that relationship is full problems, and I think they spy on us and betray us all the time.”
Not sure about “betray” unless you mean bucking Obama, Carter, and other American presidents (and the US State Department) who were open antisemites and bent on their destruction.
But I do know they spy on us, and we on them. So does the UK, Canada, Australia, et al. Heck, many a US spy gets busted in Israel and sent back. That’s just what countries do. Do you also dislike the UK, Canada, and Australia? Or do you just single out Israel for keeping tabs on the likes of Obama?
“I have no doubt that they are a major impediment in the US dealing with Arabs on our own terms.”
Then you’re an idiot. Unless “impediment” means “refusing to die”. Israel is very much a forward operating base for US actions in the ME.
