Henry Ford was peaking as a global celebrity at the conclusion of World War I, having introduced the $5 workday, assembly line and Model T -- revolutionary changes that transformed the way people lived. Reporters staked out the gates of his Fair Lane mansion. Ford loved the limelight and he constantly made news, even running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan as a Democrat in 1918. He narrowly lost.
In the midst of his fame, Ford became a media mogul of sorts, forming the Dearborn Publishing Company and purchasing the sleepy Dearborn Independent weekly newspaper, which was dying of red ink. He published the paper under his name for the first time 100 years ago, in January 1919. Under Ford, the Independent became notorious for its unprecedented attacks on Jews. But Fords anti-Semitism traveled far beyond the Dearborn borders. Showing the marketing expertise that had catapulted Ford Motor into one of the world's most famous brands, Henry Ford's lieutenants vastly widened the reach of his attacks by packaging the papers anti-Semitic content into four books. Experts say "The International Jew," distributed across Europe and North America during the rise of fascism in the 1920s and 30s, influenced some of the future rulers of Nazi Germany.
In 1931, two years before he became the German chancellor, Adolf Hitler gave an interview to a Detroit News reporter in his Munich office, which featured a large portrait of Ford over the desk of the future führer. The reporter asked about the photo.
"I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration, Hitler told the News.

Well, there’s only so much to learn about a guy who literally wrote out the plan for the Holocaust, inspired it, and then they followed his instructions, to a “T”.
I believe we are to look to the fruit of a tree to discern its nature. His fruit bore the murder of 6,000,000 Jews, something like that in others, and probably twice that in combatants.
That’s some sour fruit.
So, you think Hitler was a Lutheran.
I guess you think that the current nation calling itself Israel is the Israel of the Bible.
Do you believe the Bible? Believe in God?
No, I know Martin Luther wrote the entire plan for the Holocaust out, step by step, in “Jews and Their Lies”
The Nazis passed it out at rallies, used Luther to give theological cover for what they did, and followed his instructions, down to the stripping Jews of civil rights and putting them into camps.
Go read Wikipedia; it’s not in dispute.
Again, I see that you think Hitler was a Lutheran.
Are you a Christian? Do you accept what the Old and New Testaments say about most Jewish religious leaders? To talk about their lies is only part of it.
Where are you getting that I think Hitler was a Lutheran? That’s not remotely relevant to anything I’ve said.
I am talking about Martin Luther. Here:

“Four hundred years after it was written, the Nazis displayed On the Jews and Their Lies during Nuremberg rallies, and the city of Nuremberg presented a first edition to Julius Streicher, editor of the Nazi newspaper Der Stürmer, the newspaper describing it, on Streicher’s first encounter with the treatise in 1937, as the most radically antisemitic tract ever published.[26]”
The decision to pay the famous $5 a day wage had nothing to do with enabling workers to afford his cars. The Ford assembly line was brutal and dehumanizing, and after investing in training workers they were losing them to other Detroit manufacturers after a short time. They did the math and realized that the higher wage would decrease the expensive turnover. Of course, Ford was happy to accept the praise for lifting workers to the middle class, which fed the messiah complex that only increased as the years went on. Interesting, complicated guy.
Henry hated that Edsel drank, and after he was diagnosed with cancer Henry went to Edsels house, while he was still in the hospital, and smashed every bottle in Edsels home bar. In truth, Firds psychological abuse of his son probably helped kill him.
