There was a great deal of news this past week about President Trump’s audacious disregard for the advice and warnings from his own intelligence community experts.
Perhaps there’s good reason for alarm.
But I think there’s one shocking aspect — perhaps a larger story — that’s gone virtually unreported. It appears that anonymous intelligence officials are executing an operation against the sitting commander in chief. It might not qualify as all-out mutiny, but it’s also not all that far from one.
Right under our noses, while still under investigation for allegedly orchestrating leaks and undermining candidate Trump in 2016, some in the intel community are orchestrating leaks and undermining President Trump in 2019.
There’s evidence of the existence of such an operation from the inspector general, various congressional probes and investigative reporting. They’ve alleged, and in some cases concluded, that some top intel officials improperly leaked information to the news media and engaged in politically motivated surveillance practices involving multiple Trump associates.

Very good point. I agree entirely. They are unelected, and therefore marginally accountable, government employees who act in their own self-interests, guided by their own biases.
Should these people succeed in destroying Donald Trump and his presidency I’d like to know their names.
Why shouldn’t these traitors continue? They have been shown there is no risk of ever having to answer for the treachery. Trump is as much to blame for this as anyone. The president continues to appoint swamp friendly backstabbers at DOJ. Trump refuses to force the release of volumes of evidence that would prove the Rat/media/intell community coup. The military swamp complex is more than Trump can fight especially since he is alone with one hand tied behind his back.
This is the first “fair and balanced” article I have read from a liberal outfit in many years.

Any who leak without express permission or orders, in other words to do it maliciously, should be immediately fired and have any security clearances removed.
Fired? As in squad?

Intelligence community, special counsel, DOJ, bureaucracies... if only there was some snappy term to identify an unaccountable and power-mad proto-tyrannical apparatus infesting DC. Like, “Deep State”
Many of us assumed that Pompeo took care of the Deep Staters in the CIA before he moved on to State.
Perhaps he didn't.

When the head is doing it, the underlings know that The Party approves. “we must stop him!”
