Blink. Blink. Blink. Woken up at 01:30 by elderly dog unable to get up. Get said dog up on her feet. Take said dog out to pee. Take her back inside. Go down into my office because I’m now unable to sleep. 02:10. Take dog back outside to pee again. Said dog pees and then wanders around aimlessly until I convince her to come inside. Sitting here now waiting for her to settle down and go to sleep.

Normal people put dogs like this down because of age, unable to get up, losing 75% of their fur, incontinence, etc. Not my wife. Normal people get to get *&^%ing bed, then get the *&^% up and go to work.

Apparently I’m not among those people.

I had to vent here because it’s the only place I can. I can’t do it on FB because my wife is the person causing this entire situation.

Not sure how much longer I can put up with this.

Why doesn’t your wife get up and take care of the dog?

“””Not sure how much longer I can put up with this.”””

Sorry you’re still dealing with this situation. Emotion vs commonsense. Where to draw the line and not shoot yourself in the foot regarding your relationship? Pray.

It’s hell, but hang on. Resolution is coming. Pray.

Dog owner here beginning to see the handwriting on the wall regarding each of my two. :(

But what a blessing they’ve been. I think of that. Thank God. :)

The wife? I think it’s against the law to put her down(double meanings). The penalties are very harsh. Trust me.

Hard to remember that when you are dog tired outside in the wet and cold in the middle of the night with another mess to clean up, and that bitch(es?) is goofin’ around. Pray.

Sorry to hear about the dog, a tough situation. A guy here at the local dog park kept a dog for a ridiculously long time, the dog was obviously suffering, but at some point you can’t keep letting the dog suffer to delay your own suffering over the loss of the dog. Wish you the best and i’ll say a prayer for your dog.
