I had some trouble getting to the site, it's flagged by my work computers's firewall, but I got to it on another machine.
The story is that a reporter is going through French documents from a 1998 case and found de Niro named as a client of a prostitution ring. The ring preyed on young girls who wanted to be models, and operated in France in the mid-1990s. He was supposedly questioned about this in 1998.
It's nice to bring that to our attention. I like having information like that. Unfortunately I don't think the story will make it outside of TheWashingtonPundit.com, which I've never heard of, but is kinda interesting.
But also, sadly, it's flagged as a Fake News site. (The Left is not stopping their fight to control everything on the internet.)

The second story is much more significant:

https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3725879/posts The Miami Herald is the second largest newspaper in Southern Florida, and a McClatchy paper. So, this is an easily verified story, and is likely to be picked up by many other news orgs.

The story is based on the previous very detailed reporting that the Miami Herald did on Epstein, published last November. It's amazing stuff.

The Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta’s role in negotiating a controversial plea deal with a wealthy New York investor accused of molesting more than 100 underage girls in Palm Beach.
The probe is in response to a request by Sen. Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican and member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who was critical of the case following a series of stories in the Miami Herald. The Herald articles detailed how Acosta, then the U.S. attorney for Southern Florida, and other DOJ attorneys worked hand-in-hand with defense lawyers, to cut a lenient plea deal with multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein in 2008.
The Herald’s three-part series, Perversion of Justice, was cited by Assistant Attorney General Stephen E. Boyd in his letter to Sasse. DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility will head the investigation, he said.

Acosta, 50, had been considered a rising star in the Republican Party and was once mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions. He did not respond to a request for comment emailed to his office on Wednesday.

So, good-news / bad-news, depending on how guilty he is. Maybe he will get fired, and deserves it.

Maybe he will slide through with some tough things said in an OIG report. That's the usual course, it seems.

Maybe he's totally innocent, somehow (though it's hard to see how.).

Unfortunately, assuming he's guilty, it's an "extreme vetting" failure by Team Trump; one of several. (Anthony Scaramucci, anyone?). That's because he's now the Secretary of Labor. If it turns out he did cut a dirty deal, then hopefully he can be fired fast.
