Prepper Ping - "Lets talk bug out bags" -or Get Home Bags & Contents

This prepper article and post got by me, but many of the comments
provoke some thought to basic equipment and the seasonal adjustments.
Take what you can use,.. and leave the rest.
Most of the comments demonstrate real considerate thought,
and are worthy of your consideration for what you, and/or your family would find useful.

Some of you may have already commented on the 150 previous comments,
but it is still worthy of review.
The discussion includes 'Bug out', 'Every Day Carry'(EDC), and Get Home Bag contents.

One time long ago I read one of these threads and realized I had to get to my safe place. Why do all the work to set it up and not be able to get to it?
My vehicle has a second trunk space under the open one. I added an inflatable boat and all the gear to get me and the dog home. Causeways closed? Probably. River to cross. Tide maps, food and water for both of us. Life jackets and dry clothing are just the start of the gear packed.

I hope to stay in place but if I have to leave I have a 3 day pack. I can add on a larger one for 5-7 days and a long term rolling duffel if LONG term. Ocean shore is limiting in escape routes. Few duplicate items. Extra food, batteries, more rope etc is added right up to the small tent. Dog food is heavier than mine. Any suggestions?

I do4X a year updates to supplies.
