I have tried a couple of recipes for Mississippi pot roast. My husband likes it but it is too salty for my taste.
Those packets have sodium counts through the stratosphere.

I was wondering about that too - and the Husband Unit was wondering about the carb count of those packets. We have not made it yet, and will post when we do, with our adjustments.

Famous restaurant's legendary Italian chili w/ Italian
sausage and classic Italian flavors. Parm blankets top.

JOHNNY CARINO’S ITALIAN CHILI

ING lb Italian sausage, bell pepper, 1/2 onion, both chp, 3 cups tomato juice, 14.5oz can diced tomatoes,
cup chix broth can navy beans, tsp minced garlic 1/2 tsp dried oregano tsp. dried basil s/p, Parm garnish

PREP Place Italian sausage, chopped pepper/onions in saute pan. Brown sausage till cooked; drain off fat.

BROTH Place in pot tomato juice, tomatoes, chicken broth, garlic, navy beans, oregano, and basil.
Add sausage mixture; stir. On med-high, BTB. Simmer/stir on medium-low 30 min. Serve w/ Parm garnish.
