Former Ohio governor John Kasich has been shamed for stealing another passenger's first class seat on an Alaska Airlines flight after being bumped out of his own to make room for a pilot.
Kasich, 66, was flying from JFK in New York to San Francisco on January 16 - two weeks after handing over the governorship and his access to state planes to Mark DeWine - when he took comedian Julie Klausner's seat.
According to Klausner, who shared details of their run-in on Twitter and later in a podcast, Kasich had been behaving 'like an a**hole' long before they even boarded the plane and was talking obnoxiously on his cell phone in the airline's first class lounge.
He got on the plane first and, according to Klausner, was told that he could not sit in his seat because it had been given to a pilot who had been scheduled to fly at the other end of the journey at the last minute.

I hope that that they did. The article said that they asked Kasich to move because he had paid the least for his ticket. I wonder if he used lots of flight mile points and, if so, whether his ticket had any small print about the possibility of being moved. Can this happen with points?
Yup, several years at least...
That is not surprising. A thief is a thief, whether they are taking someone else’s seat or the fruits of their labor.
It’s a win-win.
His media image is tarnished and a liberal comedian is inconvenienced.
The deluded loudmouth who thinks he should have been president strikes again.
“Kasich had been behaving ‘like an a**hole’ long before they even boarded the plane and was talking obnoxiously on his cell phone in the airline’s first class lounge.”
Typical Kay-sick MO. There is no way I would have given up my seat for this guy or anyone else.
“I didn’t say I sexually assaulted her, officer,
I said I pinched her seat.”
No doubt he is an A-hole, but so is the illiterate that wrote this crap and the editor too! Trying to read this jumble of misspellings and idiocy gave me a headache.
He can’t help himself. It’s his nature.
Yes, but on the plus side, Kasich gets outed as an obnoxious D-bag.
The mailmans kid has issues.
No, I’m not John. I do live in Ohio, and am ashamed of our former governor. So don’t for a minute think that I’m defending his character.
But, if we jump at any unverified story just because it fits our cause, are we any better than the leftists? We don’t really want to go there, especially when we have the truth on our side. There are plenty of verified instances of Kasich being a crybaby and a jerk. And this may very well be verifiable as well. But so far, all I saw was the testimony of a comedienne.
I read the whole article and she had no problem with the airlines. And she did what should have been done, shame the prick on social media.........
Yes. It can happen w tickets purchased w points or $$$.
awww, did the little commie comedian get taught a life lesson that some people are notable VIPs and some are just uneducated foul-mouth passengers who will never accomplish a thing in their lives, like herself for instance? (notice that she didn’t complain about the airlines bumping first class and creating the situation in the first place, just the guy who got bumped - after she found out who he was)
Move along folks, it’s just a little white male privilege. /sarc/
Does the ‘above’ statement have a ‘different’ meaning than back in the day when there were ‘only’ men & women, gay meant happy and trans was the lead in for transportation or transfer etc?????
Confirmed.
How come you apologists are so fond of the word we?
Be worse than them. Get it? Sanctimony gets good people killed.
