A transgender actor has been cast in the latest Spider Man installment, making him the first openly trans person to be featured in a blockbuster superhero film. Transgender actor, comedian and singer Zach Barack, 23, will appear in Marvel's Spider Man: Far From Home which hits theaters July 5. The Chicago-born actor, who transitioned from female to male, will play the role of Peter Parker's classmate.

Sadly, this is not that unusual these days. I don’t watch much TV/movies but there is often a freak or two in the cast.
There are trans people out there. One could think he’s Peter Parker’s classmate.
Unfortunately it would be a completely different kind of tragic movie if it accurately portrayed the character as such.
A minor character. Doesn’t even have a name. Why is this news?
Why not? If you watch any TV nowadays, at least 50% of couples they show are either mixed race or same sex. And that doesn't include the ads, which are even more so.
Talk about shoving it down our throats...!
