Yep - and when some Muslim says he needs to worship Allah, he will meekly go right along.....used to be that men of God had some spine and many died for their beliefs in what was right and Christian....

The idea appears from time to time in Christian theology.
Related to my specific cite above, I'd suspect it was a strong issue during the Council of Nicaea, since the Creed that resulted explicitly rejects the Arianism idea that Christ was created by God.
Those adhering to Arianism were considered to espouse heresy, and by doing do, condemning their followers to Hell.
By his actions, not doubt in my mind that he would have run & fetched more nails had he been ASKED.
SOB should resign.
His Diocese should DEMAND he resign.
Witholding ALL Collection Plate monies would be a GREAT START.

Then take ALL monies (after College set aside) and maybe make a donation to the Church for EVERY ‘non Catholic acting’ Leaders, starting with the Seminaries, that get run out of town(s) on a rail...
We can then call that TRUE REFORM
