Winnie the Poo ....
I was just going to post this is a textbook example of David Paulides Missing 411 cases.
Small child.
Found where people have searched and searched.
And if the child is found alive, they tell of a “bear” or something caring for them.
There are a lot of bears in the area where he was lost...A lot....More bears on the North Carolina coast than there are in the Smokies...
Lots of squatch ‘sightings’ in that area...... No I don’t believe they exist.
An angel in the form of a bear.
Forest people.
It's winter. Shouldn't the bear be hibernating?
With the number of bears in that area, he may have seen a bear moving around...More than once...From his condition on the news, he wasn’t kidnapped, I don’t believe...he was thoroughly soaked and scratched up from the underbrush...
My son had the “purple bears” that he thought would save us when we were in the car at the top of a street so steep you could barely see the road below.
Black bears aren’t true hibernators...They den up for winter, but unless it’s a sow with cubs, they sometimes get out and stroll around a bit...I’ve seen bears in the Smokies in 8 inches of snow walking around...
“He was found within 1/2 mile of where he disappeared, and 600+ people had searched the area for him??? Something is not adding up.....”
It’s an example of modern search techniques. Guaranteed the “professionals” made sure it was “organized”, they were all following the incident command system, wearing the proper colored vests in the command post, assigning volunteers to distant unlikely areas to “get them out of the way”.
Then the professionals reserved the most likely area for themselves, and carefully did nothing.
They were also probably convinced that the family had murdered him and spent a ton of time looking at that.
Bears don’t actually hibernate. I forget the word offhand, one can look it up.
Could be that too. God can do anything.
If this happened at Jellystone Park, BooBoo would have taken the Kid to straight to Mr. Ranger.
I can accept that idea.
Paulides tell ghost stories based on tragedies. He has found a way to monetize the current American mysticism and paranormal crazy.
He could have played it straight and done a real service to the outdoor community. Instead, he turns it into a magic show. More money in mysticism.
The bear just wasn’t hungry. NO, I’m not being insensitive. Bears are not to be trusted. They are not warm and fuzzy. They are not your friends! No, it wasn’t a gift from God.
Found a 1/2 mile with all those people looking for him sounds suspicious, until you realize that these NC woods are thick with treacherous terrain, hurricane flooded swamps, and lots of thorny foliage. I dont know about the bear, but I can believe that its possible all these people missed him in the woods.
