Trump signed the continue so that ppl could get paid. Because this shutdown revealed just how weak our government is. That is, we have people working for us so irresponsible they can’t go two weeks without cash and/or who’s credit rating is so bad they can’t get an advance from their own federal credit union. How embarassing is it for government workers to lament about gofundmes and foodbank visits? Government workers. Those folks are all security risks because none of them can be counted on in a actual emergency. And none of them adhere to ‘government advice’ to us ordinary people to have 3 months cash and food at all times. So, rather than let more and more ‘oh poor me’ stories run thru the presses to emphasize to the rest of the world just how poorly our govt workers are prepared for a real emergency, attack us now! we bring them back to their little cubicles, we pay them, and then start weeding out the security risks. Fast.
