Wow- cool job, really. I was watching it (11yrs old) and was so excited. I wanted to go to space too! Till I was old enough to plan a career, when I found out poor vision and too short were insurmountable obstacles...

Can you explain how Nixon was able to talk to the astronauts on the phone with perfectly clear sound and no delay ?

I was 13 and followed it closely. My Dad started working on the space program in 1952. He worked on Project Viking (not the later NASA program), designed the Vanguard 1 and then invented GPS. Here’s the website for my book. www.gpsdeclassified.com
