While there are so many reasons to love the South right now, Memphis is certainly one of them. In fact, popular travel site TripSavvy just named Memphis the best overall destination for 2019 on their "Where to Go in 2019" travel list.

Meanwhile, back in our neck of the woods, San Antonio was crowned as the best destination for history buffs,Really???? What is there besides the Alamo??? Williamsburg, VA should be #1.

I’ve noticed SL mag is brimming with liberal writers (the garden dude) and is overtly PC.

The murder rate in Memphis is about the same as Chicago.

The mission trail is pretty interesting, and some of the surrounding areas also, but the history of it all wouldn’t matter to anyone who lived outside of the state.
Willamsburg is a beautiful place.

Lots of crime and no grocery stores. But Graceland is cool.

Someone suggested Williamsburg.
Maybe. The takeover by NE liberal yuppies is just about complete. At least the pancake house stranglehold has less of a death grip on breakfast. And... Busch Gardens is a seasonal option when boredom sets in.

They are nuts. Memphis is the only city in the state that people should be told to stay away from. I was there once. Never again.

Apparently on one associated with this selection has ever been to Memphis...

Beal Street was fun. But that was about it.
To each his own. I found Nashville the more interesting of the two. And NOLA better than both.

To: C19fan
San Antonio was nice. But only for a day or so.
In terms of history, Boston is pretty good. Lots of stuff in town, but Lexington and Concord are up the street. Plymouth is down the street. And for recent history, Foxboro is just half an hour down the highway.
