Actress Patricia Heaton, a rare conservative in Hollywood, slammed the media for “smearing” the Covington Kids, calling on journalists to do more than simply apologize. The star of such shows as Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle demanded a suspension or more for those who rushed to judgment.
Offering up a series of Tweets, Heaton highlighted the backtracking. She added,“But they don't address the damage that cannot be undone which was inflicted upon young people who are about to embark on adulthood - applying to colleges, looking for employment, etc.”
The actress concluded: “It seems to me that an apology without some kind of accompanying action which speaks to the seriousness of their transgression - a suspension from work, some loss of pay - renders any apology empty.”

There has been very little in the way of serious reflection for many journalists. CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday bashed the Covington kids as “victims of their own choices.” On Saturday, MSNBC panelists compared the teenagers to Nazis and segregationists. Also, on Saturday, CNN and MSNBC spent 53 minutes smearing the children.

Back to You with fellow conservative Kelsey Grammer were they were playing newscasters was quickly cancelled. Grammer has since said his politics affected his three shows that he has done since Frasier.
Good for her. Nice to hear a nice person take a sane stance on issues.
What we need is a public list (made by FR people or others) listing all those fools who attacked the Covington students without researching who they were or what REALLY happened.
Then send it out all over the country and even to friends in foreign countries.
Let everyone know who America’s “Real Enemies” are.

Gee, it’s just like them to be “The Good Germans” during WW2 or “The Good Communists” during the Russian Civil War, the Ukrainian genocide, the “Great Terror”, the occupation and enslavement of Eastern Europe, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, No. Korea and Red China (where the greatest bloodbaths in history took place under Mao).
Their silence “defines them” as members, accomplices, “silent partners” and “cowards” of genocidal
Communism. They are the “NEW RED KAPOs” of history.
I agree with her except for one thing.
I don’t believe that any of the apologies are sincere.
When apologies have to be asked for, they are not sincere.
The Middle was a good show except for one thing that always made me chuckle. Axel was a college football player. He weighs about 120 pounds and couldn’t tackle himself. Otherwise, good show.
The media and the democrat party should now only be referred to as the “Coup Plotters”.
Yeah, once you’ve made your million or so, you can be free.
