The day of Jazz Jennings‘ gender confirmation surgery was an emotional one for the whole family.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday’s episode of I Am Jazz, the 18-year-old transgender reality star is joined by her parents and siblings in the final moments before being wheeled off to the operating room.
“Having my whole family with me throughout this entire journey has been so important,” Jazz says. “From the beginning they have just provided me with unconditional love and support and the fact that they’re here on this day just signifies that we’ve come so, so far since the beginning of this journey. This is really the final step, this is the final transition, and I’m so glad that I have them by my side.”

he’ll be taking hormones for the rest of his limited lifespan, if he stops his body will revert.
Final? Not hardly.
The final step is when he realizes that mutilation didn’t make him female after all, and nothing ever will, and that not only is he not a woman, he’s no longer a man either, but a mangled monstrosity of his own making.
We’ll be reading the stories of his suicide the next day. It’s not if, but when.

Wow. That’s something even I have never, ever thought about till now. What a way to begin each new day.
It’s like getting in costume for a performance that usually has no audience.
The father sits smiling in the background, and has little to say. The mother, very domineering and obsessed about transgenderism, is always close by Jazz. It looks to me like Muchausen by Proxy.
I hope that he grows up, becomes independent, and sues both he family and the tv companies who manipulated him into this.
Is there a father present? What does he have to say?
Both the mom and the dad’s jobs are running their transgender foundation, so jazz is the meal ticket.
I did find their is an older (real) daughter, and she’s a Paris Hilton social media wannabe.

I suspect whatever the results publicly they will keep up the pretext everything is wonderful.
It may be years before we learn the truth and see ultimate outcome.
Jennings, born a boy, has the DNA components that has set up his body to be the contributor to the unfertilized egg of a new human being. That innate drive to make that happen will not disappear with a surgical procedure. That is because this biochemical system exists in the brain because of the steady input of the male sex hormones. With those sex hormones removed from the system, the brain is triggered that something is amiss. That brain-hormone symbiotic system cannot be broken without severe consequences. This is an offense to human nature that will create suicidal desires.
Gender confirmation surgery?
That phrase implies some sort of verification. I suppose they mean “affirmation” but that would be too close to the truth.
The left demands control of everyone right down to thoughts, opinions, and feelings. Yet another example of mind assault by the left.
I wonder when we will start seeing cases in which DNA evidence from crime scenes identify a perpetrator as being male, but this does not match his (or her) gender self-identification.
The Father is all in as are his Wife’s Parents. The F-I-L is a Retired Doctor I believe.
If I remember, they started letting her Son identify and Dress as a Girl when he was four years old. I believe the Mother said she just gave in to it.
Every Family has their issues. Now they celebrate, promote and profit from them thanks to Cable TV. Whoopee!
There was an article on FR titled something like “My new vagina won’t make me happy.” The guy talked about all of the various steps he had taken. None of them helped. He talked about how the “final” step of having a vagina created was also not going to make him happy.
He wrote about how it hurt, how his body will always just treat it like a wound and will try to heal itself so he’ll have to continue having work done.
It sounded terrible what he was going through. But in spite of it all, and him KNOWING that it wouldn’t make him happy, he still “knew” that it was something he had to have done because he was “really” a girl.
These poor people have mental issues that in most cases could be treated with good therapy. But the trans cult has the doctors and therapists (who are making big money on it) hoodwinked as well. As well as our government.
I pray for these kids.
As far as I’m concerned, any “doctor” who performs this is in violation of the “Hippocratic Oath”. They just do it for the money.
“Gender confirmation surgery”? Don’t use their constructed vocabulary. “Unnecessary and damaging body mutilation” is more accurate.
Gender confirmation surgery? Is that the new euphemism for castration?
Well said. The consequences of the full surgical procedure have been swept under the rug by the greedy gender reassignment con artists. Because this is a new industry, these hustlers are up to their eyeballs with the propaganda promoting their business. They know that their jig will be short lived as people find out what a fraud they are. Only God determines the course of Nature and those who promote otherwise should be guilty of fraud and spend some prison time.
Gender confirmation surgery is the way the con artists hide what it actually is: gender reassignment surgery through the process of castration and the surgical construction of an artificial vagina. The artificial nature of the vagina they create is the Achilles heel of the entire reassignment process. It will be an useless hunk of skin and will never bring the pleasure it was sold to give. On top of that, it will bring a lifetime of pain like a decaying tooth that can never be removed. The shock of buyer’s remorse will be too much for many to bear.
