Yes. They called us Vietnam Era Vets. During part of the war I was on Nuke Subs so not in country fighting. I don’t claim to be a Vietnam Vet, and I would never dishonor those that served in Nam by trying to glom on to their honor by using similar words. I have no sympathy for those that would. I am just an honorably discharged vet.
Wasn’t there someone in the news recently who claimed to be a Vietnam Vet - and then had to backtrack to ‘Vietnam Era’?
