Just like Studio Wresting some people think NFL football is real.
I’m happy to say that I didn’t know who was going, didn’t know any drama leading up to it, and still don’t care.
I kinda miss football - but not that much.
It’s frustrating that, with replay reviews, there are still problems with the referees.
Why didn’t the Saints call a time out and a review? I thought every close call after the 2 minute warning got reviewed?
All true, but no crocodile tears here for the Saints have gotten away with years of penalties and playing dirty.
Still, maybe we better check the ref’s account in the Cayman Islands when the bank opens up in the morning (unless they don’t do MLK holidays).
The KC/Pats game was awesome. As much as I hate the Pats, Ive got to give them their due - they were just great in the stretch.
For the Rams, that game was like the last election in California, where there was no way in hell a Democrat was going to lose.
Lots of PR and a tickets for their new stadium are at stake. The Rams had to win.
After watching the video several times, I don’t see a way in the world Lewis could have caught the ball. Robey-Coleman had him completely blocked from catching it.
What has always made me angry is why in the hell the NFL cant do like Baseball and have their refs trained and paid like professional refs.
If it were not for Umpires in baseball, the game wouldnt be fun to watch.
I still enjoy the Green White Checkered
Pats won on account of a coin flip.
Not legitmate.
I have zero interest in this.
I team I dislike that has won many times in the last 18 years, vs. a transplant to LA I could not care less about.
BORING!
Good likelihood but no guarantee that the Saints would have scored. Hate to see calls/no calls affect the outcome of great games.
Blown calls in the Chiefs/Pats game too. The blown muffed punt call, should’ve never been overturned, no irrefutable evidence to change the original call on the field. And perhaps the worst roughing the passer call I’ve ever seen, the defender slaps Brady’s shoulder pad before the pass was even thrown. Horrible.
That bad call with the saints/rams took away any possible chance for me tuning in to the Super Bowl...the rams should not be there. Amazing the NFL admitted the officiating error, but the news media has not touched that aspect.
The only right thing for the NFL to do is to play this game over again.
But the NFL never does the right thing.
Ever.
I have had the extraordinary privilege of being a Boston sports fan during the Bird era, Brady era, and Red Sox. I fully appreciate how fortunate I have been. I wish I could bottle and sell the enjoyment because it is amazing and awesome in that it never gets old. I would have guessed the Patriots comeback against the Falcons would never be topped for entertainment value. But I think last night did it. Brady, Edelman, Gronk ,etc. these guys are absolute freaks.
...and just like Brady, your snide replies will only add to my grin.
With all the missed/ignored calls against the Rams, and a few against the Saints, I hold that the Saints are still unbeaten at home in the playoffs (by the other team).
In general I dont watch much football since the kneelers took over and the NFL decided to alienate much of their audience. However, I have been a Rams fan since....well.....ugh.... Roman Gabriel, Jack Snow, and the fearsome foursome. Been through Vince feragammo in the 79 Super Bowl, the Jim Everett years, the move to St Louis and back. So today I am a happy camper and the noise of bad calls is just that. Noise.
Bad calls, missed calls, no calls have been part of the game forever. Part of the game so get over it. :)
