If 'ifs' and 'buts' were candy and nuts/we'd all have a Merry Christmas
Nail-biter.
Both games today were.
Better to see close, tight games than ones where one team runs away with it.
If it’s a TD rather than FG on the first possession, it’s over. Stupid rule.
But why should there be an exception for scoring a TD?
Why shouldn’t both teams be allowed at least one possession in OT, no matter what?
(Patriots apologists don’t seem to be able to answer that question ...)
Just Damn.
Now you want to blame the Patriots and their fans for the rules.
The whining never ceases.
Brady embarrassed the hell out of my poor Falcons... but I still love Brady and Gronk.
I'm truly amazed that so many here still watch the anti-National Anthem NFL.
They make it that way to remove the advantage the other team has of being second and knowing what they have to do. Getting a three-and-out gives them a huge advantage in field position and knowing exactly what they need to do to win. That’s why to counter that advantage they make it so that if the coin toss winning team scores a TD, they win. I’m not saying I agree with it, but that is the rationale.
That’s why I like the idea of making it two possessions instead of just one, because it will balance out the field position problem.
Did you like the old rule?
Field goal on the first possession.
Game over.
Excuse me.... (Patriots apologists dont seem to be able to answer that question ...)
Why should we have to justify the OT rule It is what it is.
Pats have to be the luckiest team around. I know its better to be lucky than good as they say but these phantom calls against anyone thats near Brady is ridiculous. There was no such thing as a tuck rule years ago. The nfl made that up for the pats! The boneheaded play of Andy Reid to play man to man against Gronk and Julián on 3rd down was dumb. Romo knee where the ball was going to....I knew where the ball was going to....hack my mom who hates sports probably could have figured out where the ball was going to...arggggghh!!!!
I agree.
and the whining continues
lol
and the whining continues
lol
oh ok, I thought someone was saying it was now mandatory both teams had to possess the ball before a winner can be declared and I was thinking maybe they just chsnged this rule before this game lol
Boy, sure is tough, eh?
Hahahahahahaha! Life is hard on FR sometimes, I know.
I always preferred that rule.
Those are the rules.
All the teams in the league, both winners and losers agreed to the rule.
They don’t like it, they can get it changed. But they won’t. You know why?
Because it’s a good rule.
