They are already limiting the sections of Autobahn that have unlimited speeds. A lot of areas that were unlimited 10 years ago are down to 130 kph.

And in areas that are still unlimited, it is difficult to wind it up. East Germans in old Trabants and SEATs won’t get out of your way anymore.

But you still have to look in your rearview mirror. You never know when a big Mercedes or Porsche will sneak up on you at 300 kph.

Loved driving our Mercedes diesel station wagon there while living in Switzerland. Wife didn’t appreciate when I took it up to 150 mph, but mileage was still great.
