Congressional Investigation/oversight-NOT GOOD IF CORRUPOKRATS ARE IN CHARGE. Any one remember ABSCAM?
Abscam (sometimes written ABSCAM) was a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) sting operation in the late 1970s and early 1980s that led to the convictions of seven members of the United States Congress, among others.
The two-year investigation initially targeted trafficking in stolen property and corruption of prestigious businessmen, but was later converted to a public corruption investigation.
The FBI was aided by the Justice Department and a convicted con-man in videotaping politicians accepting bribes from a fictitious Arabian company in return for various political favors.
WELL WELL CONGRESSCRITTERS GOT CAUGHT! WHAT TO DO????
How about set up committees to have congressional oversight of under-cover operations. How’s that gonna work if the CROOKED critters are members of the committee?
That’s why Congress can’t be involved in this situation.
Especially this Congress.
