Well, a lot of us thought McCain was blackmailing Graham with something. The change of heart coincided with McCain’s death. Perhaps these have been Graham’s real views all along.

My guess is that Graham didn’t cavort with McCain for all these years without amassing his own illegal nest egg. And that puts him in the garden-variety pol position—blackmailed on real or imaged sexual peccadilloes, as well as for financial bribery crimes.
