I agree. Some preparation rather than none.
BTW, 20lb bags of white rice at WM are around $9. Seems to be the best deal I’ve found so far. Is it great rice? No, but it is Great Value rice (lol - their brand name).
BUT remember this rice takes 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of dry rice. This is not Uncle Ben’s (which is better but much more expensive per pound).
If I’m going to use rice for nutrition-especially in a survival situation, it is going to be brown rice-unmilled, it is more nutrient rich-and it actually has a taste. The local grocery has bulk brown rice for the same price as the white all the time...
Now if only someone would sell bulk saffron-the real threads-not the powdered stuff-to go with it...
