I left the idiotic multi-blade, disposable shave community a long time ago. I went back to these:
Safety razors are a better, cheaper solution (you can buy a lifetime supply of Feather blades for about $20). Safety razors are also much better for your skin.
It's amazing that men were marketed away from these by BS about multi-blades and so-called "convenience".
Better link?
I agree. A single blade does wonders. I also like shavettes which are basically straight razors with disposable blades: no honing or stropping necessary.
Except I hate have to shave slowly with a old-style safety razor. I now use the Supply brand injector blade single blade razor with great results. I really like them because injector razors use stronger blades that last way longer than safety razor blades.
I bought my box of Feather blades ten years ago...I’m only about a quarter of the way through it. If you get a nice safety razor with a nicely weighted head it is a dream to shave with...and honestly I’m just as fast with it.
I love using my Merkur 34C. Switching to safety razors also led me to great shaving soaps and brush. Often use Proraso shaving cream. So much better than that perfumy, chemical laden crap out of a can. NEVER going back.
