Whole towns and forts used to be made of wood. Savannah, St. Augustine, Chicago...
Gee, for some reason, they aren’t anymore.

Just cover the building with wood-grain wallpaper...

You can’t build that stuff out of wood! The forests will be decimated or worse we will all die from lack of O2, and then the building will burn oh the pyromaniacs will be having a heyday.

If I cut a square diagonally into two triangles is it stronger than the square... no...
Me thinks the architect is from the P T Barnum school of salesmanship.

I'm not sure about building a tower out of wood. A small base relative to the height is going to put a lot of stress on the wood supports that cement or steel would handle much better. The Minneapolis building wasn't that tall relative to its broad base so I wouldn't see any inherent weakness in that structure. The new engineered wood beams are quite strong and would likely be reliable as long as you don't get ridiculous. It would seem that the natural flex of wood would be advantageous in earthquake zones.
Just my uneducated opinion but like George Constanza, I always wanted to pretend to be an architect.

Bricks can be fun but there are too many rules for brick.
Monadnock Building
The tallest load-bearing brick building ever constructed...
The walls are like eight FOOT THICK! Looking in from the sidewalk it is a bit different.
Sixteen floors max.

Bever, termite and fire resistant!
Also a very handsome building inside and out.
I like it!
