2,500 miles away, Portland, Maine is experiencing a crisis that redefines the nature of the problem and whom it impacts. Illegal border invaders arent just from this continent. Anyone who can fly into South America and make their way up to Mexico has a shot at crossing the border and invading America.
Portland shelters, 2,500 miles away, are overloaded by illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa who crossed the border and then kept right on going to one of the coldest, but most profitable parts of the country. Portland, like many areas in Maine, attracted migrants because of the generous social safety net that had been set up to help the local population deal with turbulent economic times.
In early December alone, 199 foreigners wanted to get into the shelter system in Portland. 126 of them had come through the southern border, either by illegally invading it or by falsely claiming to be refugees.
In 2018, 86% of the people in the shelter system were immigrants. By the end of the year, the number had climbed to a horrifying 90% with Maine families almost crowded out entirely.
Maines 16.5% increase and Portlands staggering 70% rise in homelessness defies the overall economic recovery....
The social services sector employs a growing number of migrants who get profitable government jobs caring for migrants. And theres every possible incentive for them to continue increasing their numbers.
Even if it means that native Mainers are left out in the cold. Sometimes literally.

We don’t often go into downtown Portland but we did a couple of months ago and it definitely wasn’t the Portland of my youth.
Anyone who can fly into South America and make their way up to Mexico has a shot at crossing the border and invading America.
Has a shot?
In my younger hold muh beer moments, I have literally crossed the border illegally twice. Once I walked right through a hole in the fence in Tijuana. The other time I drove across in Arizona, drove to puerto penasco, turned around the next day and drove back into america. A few years after 9/11, mind you. A 3 year old can cross our undefended border, and anybody in mexico that desires to cross into the USA will be nearly unimpeded. This is not an indictment on the border patrol or ICE, just simple mathematics.
My brother was sent their by the state of FL because he was a bum they wanted to get rid of.
There is also a visa overstay problem.
Requiring a return bond on each visa for a low income country visitor might help.
.....disgusting....
To Portland, Maine? Can a State just deport bums to another State?
The solution is to replace furloughed government workers with illegals SO DEMOCRATS CAN EXPERIENCE FIRST HAND WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO CITIZENS IN FLYOVER.
“Here’s your bus ticket. If I see you again...”
It’s amazing they know where to head to get the most generous benefits.
“The social services sector employs a growing number of migrants who get profitable government jobs”
There it is for all to see. We are paying illegals to come here and get government jobs. The government is the enemy. Burn it all to the ground.
He never would have gone there himself. Yes, they did.
There’s a lot of places you can cross over easily, with no checkpoint for up to 100 miles inland.
This is happening all across America, not just Portland.
And their job is to hand out taxpayer money to the invaders, and hire more of them to do the same job. Amazing economics.
Tampa and st. Petersburg send their bums to Lakeland Florida. They give him a bus ticket and send them off.
Lakeland has complained about it for years
they got the government they voted for...
in a sane society it would be Americans first and if anything is left over it goes to next in line
