At this point, there isn’t a single state legislature that would consider making abortion illegal.

Even if there is, there has been such brainwashing, that all they have to do is put a referendum on the ballot, and the people will vote it back to being legal.
This travesty is a black mark on the Church Leaders and politicians of the time. All it would have taken was a constitutional amendment to define life/person as beginning at conception.
I remember thinking at the time, that it was bound to happen. It didn’t. Nothing effective at all. Some states passed laws, and the Supremes struck them down. The further down the path one goes, the more supporters for the change are lost, as future generates are indoctrinated.
This was for sure something which should have been nipped in the bud.

Well, I thought after 9/11 that one good thing to come out of it was we were bound to secure the southern border (soft underbelly) of our country and THAT somehow still never happened. I throw up my hands. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
