I think we are in uncharted waters. There won’t be any historical precedent.
Maybe unhappy constituents will just have to Come to Town and take out their own trash.

That would depend on each State’s rules regarding their CongressCritters. For example the citizens might be able to do a recall. The incarcerated could do the right thing and resign, and the Gov. appoint a replacement or new election. Don’t hold your breath - chances are slim and none.
When someone dies while holding office or resigns each state has rules. Regarding those who were ousted in previous Congressional Congress, Of the 20 that have been ousted, only 3 were unrelated to confederacy, so the precedent, while small, combined with current laws, is sufficient for each state to react I would think.
