I have a friend at Gitmo. His job is to act as a liaison between ALL inmates and their lawyers, i.e., checking for contraband. Not exactly a guard, but according to him not one person goes in or out without him knowing, because it’s his job to process them and make sure they aren’t passing notes, getting illegal stuff, etc.
He is on site, 24/7. He says in the past two years, the construction program-—and you can look this up, there is a reporter in FL who has followed this because it started via lawsuits-—has been entirely due to CLIENT lawsuits that the terrorits there did not have enough “private” area to talk to their lawyers. So the gubment had to build a larger facility-—not with beds but with space around lawyer/client areas to address this lawsuit.
According to him (but what does he know? He’s only there) not one single new person has come in, and that the state of the facility is so poor that they are looking to slowly get rid of the guys they have. Again, however, you can disbelieve this cuz of Q. But I know this guy’s name and he sent me a manuscript he was working on.

So I only have one question about what you posted here about Gitmo, LS.
If as you said: “they are looking to slowly get rid of the guys they have.”
Then why would they add the amount of new structures they have - there are other temporary and/or less costly ways to approach the lawyer/client issue than the large amount of construction demonstrated on the photos.
