It is for what is called a ChromaKey. Its a solid color, usually green or blue, that video editors use to erase an ENTIRE color from the video/movie, then they can put any background they want in it.The old TV rule for reporters who were going to be in front of "green screens" used to be "no green".
Ever so often you see someone in front of a green-screen who has messed up, pattern on a tie i a common one, and the background video will show up in the middle of their tie.
I love when that happens. It's like a Wizard of Oz moment.

There was a famous one of a weather girl who forgot, and her dress matched the screen color; another newscaster ran across and threw his special over her. Myself, I prefer Studiokatzen.
